Goal 15

Almost a million species of plants and animals are in danger of extinction.

Human deforestation and desertification due to climate change pose major challenges to sustainable development, affecting the lives and livelihoods of millions of people.

The health of our planet also plays an important role in the development of infectious diseases of animals and humans. As we enter fragile ecosystems, we expose humans to more wildlife, allowing the spread of wild pathogens to livestock and humans, increasing the risk of disease emergence and spread.

END DESERTIFICATION AND RESTORE DEGRADED LAND

By 2030, combat desertification, restore degraded land and soil, including land affected by desertification, drought and floods, and strive to achieve a land degradation-neutral world.

ENSURE CONSERVATION OF MOUNTAIN ECOSYSTEMS

By 2030, ensure the conservation of mountain ecosystems, including their biodiversity, in order to enhance their capacity to provide benefits that are essential for sustainable development.

PROMOTE ACCESS TO GENETIC RESOURCES AND FAIR SHARING OF THE BENEFITS

Promote fair and equitable sharing of the benefits arising from the utilization of genetic resources and promote appropriate access to such resources, as internationally agreed.

ELIMINATE POACHING AND TRAFFICKING OF PROTECTED SPECIES

Take urgent action to end poaching and trafficking of protected species of flora and fauna and address both demand and supply of illegal wildlife products.

FINANCE AND INCENTIVIZE SUSTAINABLE FOREST MANAGEMENT

Mobilize substantial resources from all sources and levels to finance susainable forest management and provide developing countries with appropriate incentives to promote such management, including conservation and reforestation.

THE ICON

                     Original logo                                                                                                             Our logo

This icon represents life in terrestrial ecosystems. It is green in color because it symbolizes nature and there are trees and birds to represent life in it. In our logo we wanted to represent the same thing with the kangaroo and the color green.
